In V’zot HaB’rachah
The Key People are Moshe (Moses), blessing the twelve tribes, and Y’hoshua (Joshua).
The Scene is the the climb from the plains of Mo’av (Moab) up to Har N’vo (Mt. Nebo) in the Pisgah mountain range east of Y’recho (Jericho), viewing all of the Promised Land.
The Main Events include Moshe blessing each tribe, then climbing Mt. Nebo to view the Promised Land; Moshe’s death at age 120, burial in Mo’av by the LORD; Israelites morning for 30 days; Y’hoshua filled with the spirit of wisdom, ordained to leadership; and a tribute to Moshe as the only prophet who God spoke with face-to-face.
Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. Adonai showed him all the land—Gilead to Dan, and all of Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the western sea, the Negev and the plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar. Then Adonai said to him, “This is the land that I swore to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob saying, ‘I will give it to your seed.’ I let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over there.”
(Deuteronomy 34:1-4 TLV)
The Haftarah
(Deuteronomy 34:1-4 TLV))
The Brit Chadasha
As it is written, “For this reason I will give You praise among the Gentiles, and I will sing to Your name.” And Then came one of the seven angels holding the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues, and he spoke with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” Then he carried me away in the Ruach to a great and high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God—her radiance like a most precious stone, like a jasper, sparkling like crystal.
(Revelation 21:9-11 TLV)
